This list is meant to help health service providers identify virtual care solutions that are appropriate for clinical use and that meet a standard for privacy, security, technology and functionality.

Ontario Health performs a review of privacy and security documentation, not an assessment. We accept Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) and Threat and Risk Assessment (TRA) summaries and do not have access to full PIAs and TRAs performed by solution providers. Before procuring a solution, health service providers should perform their own due diligence to ensure the solution they select complies with legislation and meets their own needs and requirements.

Our Verified Solutions List shows the current status of virtual visit solutions that have self-attested to meeting, and subsequently been validated as meeting all mandatory requirements in the Standard. These requirements are critical to ensure that clinical encounters delivered virtually are secure and that patient privacy is protected.

Solutions listed on the Verified Solutions List that have been found to be non-compliant are required to remediate and while in remediation, may be denoted as Under Review. Solution providers that are not able to comply with all mandatory requirements and have chosen not to remediate are listed separately on the Withdrawn Solutions List.

The Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) video platform is a verified solution. There is no impact to the availability of the OTN video platform for physicians who use it or wish to select it as a new implementation. If you have any questions about OTN, please email: OH-OTN_InformationMailbox@ontariohealth.ca.

Solution providers are responsible for maintaining up-to-date profile information. Any users of this website including but not limited to front-line health care providers are responsible for performance of their own due diligence and for compliance with relevant legislation.
