The purpose of this data asset is to support health system planning, evaluation, and monitoring of surgical oncology services, as well as quality improvement.

PHI is required to enable internal disclosure from Ontario Health as Prescribed Entity to Ontario Health as Prescribed Person under the registry of chronic diseases framework, creating linked, patient-level datasets that can subsequently be disclosed to qualifying outlier hospitals for comprehensive root cause analysis and quality improvement purposes.
